Buenos Aires, February 21, 2026 – An institutional meeting was held in the city of Buenos Aires between representatives of Daphne Lab® and Free Farma LATAM, marking an important new step in strengthening scientific and professional cooperation across Latin America.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Julio Salazar, representative of the NGO Actitud (Lima, Peru); Psychologist Anghie Anaya, from Lima (Peru), who accompanied Dr. Salazar as a collaborating professional; Dr. Elizabeth Portugal, CEO of Free Farma Latinoamérica; and Dr. Gimena Rojo, representative of Free Farma and Daphne Lab® in Argentina.
The main objective of the meeting was the formalization of a strategic international cooperation agreement aimed at promoting the expansion and implementation of innovative biofunctional tools throughout the region, encouraging a healthcare approach focused on prevention, integration, and personalized treatment.
As part of this agreement, the appointment of Dr. Julio Salazar as Ambassador of Free Farma and Daphne Lab® for Latin America was officially confirmed. In this role, Dr. Salazar will represent both organizations institutionally across the region, promote the development of scientific and training programs, and support the dissemination of the biofunctional tool BioMetaTest® in several Latin American countries. His work will also contribute to the creation of interdisciplinary cooperation networks among healthcare professionals.
BioMetaTest® is a tool developed within the field of functional and integrative medicine, designed to evaluate metabolic and functional biomarkers, identify subclinical biochemical imbalances, and guide personalized nutritional and therapeutic interventions. Its application enables biomedical data to be translated into targeted clinical decisions, supporting a model of preventive medicine based on functional evidence and comprehensive patient care.
During the meeting, participants also reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening scientific collaboration between Argentina and Peru, with the long-term perspective of gradually expanding cooperation throughout Latin America. The common objective is to consolidate international professional and scientific networks while promoting accessible, ethical, and sustainable preventive healthcare models.
